These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Likz Drop apps and website (“the Service”). By downloading, installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
2. The Service
Likz Drop lets you send files between devices over a local network, a direct path when available, an encrypted relay when needed, offline phone-to-phone where supported, browser share links, and optional temporary Keep 24h storage for group drops. Apps ship today for macOS, Windows, iOS and Android. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, particularly during beta. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.
3. Accounts, Guest mode and nicknames
You can use the Service as a Guest without an account. If you sign in (email code, Google, Apple, or other methods we offer), you are responsible for activity under your account. Nicknames are public handles; do not choose a nickname that impersonates others, infringes a trademark, or is offensive. We may reclaim, change or remove nicknames that violate these Terms or that remain unused.
4. Free and Pro plans
Personal, non-commercial use is free within the limits described on Pricing. Commercial use requires Pro. Pro may be sold through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other channels we enable. Platform store terms also apply to in-app purchases; refunds and cancellation for store purchases follow that store’s rules unless we state otherwise.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send, request, or store content that is illegal, infringing, malicious (e.g. malware), or that you do not have the right to share;
- harass, abuse, spam, or send unwanted files to others, or attempt to bypass another user’s block or contact settings;
- violate anyone’s privacy or intellectual-property rights;
- interfere with, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- use the Service to build or train a competing product, or resell it, without our permission.
6. Your content and responsibility
You retain all rights to the files you transfer. For live transfers, contents move peer-to-peer or via encrypted relay and are not kept by us as cloud files after the stream ends. If you use optional Keep 24h, we store a temporary encrypted copy under the rules in our Privacy Policy. We do not access file contents for advertising. You are solely responsible for what you send and receive and for complying with all applicable laws. We are not a party to the transfer between you and a recipient.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Likz Drop name, logo, design and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps for their intended purpose. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for authentication, push notifications, relay, optional Keep storage, and app-store billing). Your use of those features may also be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any transfer will succeed or complete. During beta, expect bugs and downtime.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) zero if you used only the free plan.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account (in-app or via account deletion). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. content responsibility, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on our website. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Likz Drop, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise. If you need a formal jurisdiction for a dispute, contact us at the address below and we will identify the operator’s governing venue.
